Here are some of the cases involving Hucknall and Bulwell people that have been brought before the courts recently.

Motoring

Samual Evans of Carlingford Road, Hucknall fined £400 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £88.34 and costs of £90 for keeping on a public road, namely Carlingford Road, Hucknall a mechanically-propelled vehicle that was unlicensed.

Sarah Smith (40) of Albert Street, Hucknall and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and told to pay costs of £110 for being the person in whose name a vehicle was registered under the Vehicle Excise Registration Act 1994 when it did not meet the required insurance requirements.

Dushko Stojchevski (35) of Johnson Avenue, Hucknall fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £110 for being the person in whose name a vehicle was registered under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 when it did not meet insurance requirements.

Gary Monte (56) of Lime Tree Road, Hucknall remanded on unconditional bail after pleading not guilty to driving a motor on a road otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class. Also pleads not guilty to driving without insurance.

David Robert Alexander (32) of Leen Valley Way, Hucknall fined £75 after admitting using a mobile phone while driving. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Drugs

Ian Gravesande (48) of Lime Tree Road, Hucknall sent for trial accused of havig in his possession diamorphine, a controlled drug of class A, with intent to supply.

Nadine Ward (42) of Ruffs Drive, Hucknall sent for trial accused of having in her possession 3.17 grams of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B with intent to supply. Also accused of producing four plants of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B.

Fraud

Christopher Simey (26) of Carlingford Road, Hucknall sent for trial accused of dishonestly making a false representation; namely that he used a stolen bank card intending to make a gain, namely to purchase items from Serena Stores, Upper Parliament Street, TK Maxx, JD Sports and Schuh.

Enforcement

Deborah Poppy (52) of Lime Street, Bulwell fined £300 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £200 after indicating a plea of guilty to being, as the owner of land situated at Old Hall Farm, Greaves Lane, Edingley, Nottinghamshire, in breach of an enforcement notice issued by Newark & Sherwood District Council by failing to remove a caravan from the land. Also indicated a plea of guilty to failing to cease using the land for residential purposes.

Damage

Paul Foster (25) of Merchant Street, Bulwell discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £75 after pleading guilty to, without lawful excuse, damaging a mirror and window to the value of under £5,000 belonging to the landlord of an address in Bells Lane intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

Jason Paul Smith (18) of Farleys Lane, Hucknall committed to prison for one month after being found guilty of, without lawful excuse, damaging a Vauxhall Corsa intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged. He was also committed to prison for two months concurrent after being found guilty of sending by means of a public electronic communications network matter that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character. In addition, he was committed to prison for one month concurrent after pleading guilty to, without reasonable excuse, failing to surrender to custody at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court, having been previously released on bail by a court.

Breach

Stephen Johnson (58) of Forest Lane, Papplewick admitted failing to stop banging noises at his home after being served with notices, between 18th February and 12th March, and between 5th June and 16th July, contrary to section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

He was fined £350, and must pay compensation of £1,000 as well as costs of £250.

Miscellaneous

Radeena Pillane (36) of Bestwood Road, Bulwell was remanded on bail accused of acquiring, using or having possession of criminal property, namely £3,341.34.
