Police release picture of Hucknall murder victim Denise Williamson and start to interview suspect

Detectives have started questioning a 52-year-old man on suspicion of the murder of a Hucknall woman.

Denise Williamson, 44, (pictured) was found at around 8.50pm on Friday 5th July, at her home in Hazelwood Drive.

She had sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital shortly afterwards.

A Home Office post-mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of stab wounds.

A 52-year-old man who was detained at the scene remains under arrest on suspicion of her murder.

Officers from the major crimes unit at Nottinghamshire Police are currently interviewing the suspect who is in custody.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen or been in contact with Denise in the last few weeks to contact them.
