A RIDING club on the outskirts of Hucknall has been targeted by vandals — only a week after arsonists torched expensive showjumping equipment.
The Warren Riding Club, next to Annesley Woods, was hit some time between 12 midday on Wednesday last week and 9.30 last Friday morning.
Raiders broke into a portable office and threw items around. It is not believed anything was stolen.
The Dispatch reported last week how firebugs struck at the club on Wednesday August 10, damaging competition equipment and an office.
Club chairman Judith Dawson-Payne said members were in shock after the two attacks. “We just hope nothing else happens,” she said.
The original arson was linked to the riots that swept across parts of the country earlier this month. Judith believes the arsonists were spurred on by TV coverage of the rioting.
