Police have today (Tuesday, 15th October) confirmed that they have launched a murder inquiry after two bodies were found at a Forest Town home.

Skeletal remains were recovered from the property at 2 Blenheim Close last week and police say post-mortem examinations have so far failed to identify the remains or lead to a conclusive cause of death.

The detectives leading the investigation confirmed they believed the remains to be those of Patricia and William Wycherley, who lived at the address from 1987 and ‘vanished’ in the late 1990s.

Officers from the East Midlands Major Crime Unit are appealing for anyone who knew the Wycherleys in the 1990s or lived in Blenheim Close between 1990 and 2005 to come forward.
