A SPECIAL curry lunch was laid on as a thankyou for the work of the Teenage Pregnancy Taskforce in Bulwell.
The event was arrenged by the town’s Labour MP, Graham Allen, who has worked with the organisation closely to tackle teenage-pregnancy rates in Bulwell, which were previously the highest in the country.
The lunch was at the Bulwell Sure Start Children’s Centre on Steadfold Close.
Mr Allen said: “It was a way of thanking our fantastic team of health visitors, nursery workers, volunteers and others who have made a great impact.
“Teenage-pregnancy rates continue to fall in Nottingham. In the last two years alone there were 158 fewer conceptions than would have been expected at the previous levels.”
