Youngsters from around the area are learning first-hand about recycling after the materials recovery facility in Forest Town opened its doors to pupils.

Veolia Environmental Services, which works for Nottinghamshire County Council, will be welcoming schools over two weeks for tours of the facility, so pupils can find out first hand where recyclable waste goes.

County councillor Jim Creamer said: “Schools weeks are aimed at key stage 2 year groups, and we want as many classes as possible to visit.”
