A Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday at Papplewick’s Griffin’s Head pub in aid of the Put Things Right charity.
Following the tragic deaths last year of Hucknall youngsters Harrison Carlin and Jeff Townley whilst out on their bikes,Put Things Right was formed to promote safe cycling and road use in our immediate communities.
The group will hold their second fun day at the Griffin’s Head which starts at noon.
“Everyone is welcome and we hope that the day is great fun for all those who attend,” said charity chairman, Ben Marshall. “As well as raising funds for the work that we are planning to do in local schools next academic year, the day will hopefully serve as a reminder to everyone how fragile cyclists are on our roads and encourage them to take sensible steps to protect them.”
There will be plenty of fun and games for children and adults from all ages during the event including ‘The play bus’, bouncy castles, cake stalls andmuch more.
