A gun amnesty will run from 10th until 21st November.

People can surrender their illegal weapons at Hucknall and Bulwell police stations between 10am and 6pm. The Association of Chief Police Officers has asked forces around the UK to take part in the two-week scheme, calling for people to surrender guns and ammunition at police stations without the fear of being arrested.

Nottinghamshire Police held an amnesty in March, when over 200 guns were handed in. It said changes in firearms legislation, including the sale or transfer of an unauthorised firearms or ammunition carrying a life sentence, justified another.
