CASH for outdoor play equipment has been raised through an Easter fair held by the long-running Hucknall Pre-School Playgroup.
A mini-Easter bonnet parade, with prizes of Easter eggs, was a highlight of the event at the venue’s headquarters, the Watnall Road Baptist Church.
A total of £268 was collected via a range of attractions that included a cake stall, tombola, Guess The Weight Of The Cake game, face-painting, hook-a-duck and a pretty-parcels stall.
There was also a white-elephant stand and raffle.
In the week leading up to the fair, children at the playgroup enjoyed Easter-themed activities such as decorating Easter eggs.
Krista Hemsley, of the playgroup, said: “We are always trying to make improvements to our outdoor space, so the money from the fair will be a big help.”
