A SPECIAL tram ticket has been relaunched to help residents of Hucknall and Bulwell make the most of Nottingham attractions during the school summer holidays.

The ‘Five For £5’ initiative is a brainchild of Nottingham Express Transit (NET), which runs the Hucknall-to-Nottingham line.

It enables five passengers, including up to two adults, a day of unlimited travel on the tram for a fiver.

Florian Le Loroux, marketing manager at NET, said: “Over the next few weeks, there is plenty going on in and around the city centre, making for a fantastic day out for the whole family.

“By taking advantage of the offer, people can enjoy a quick and convenient journey to the attractions without the hassle of being stuck in traffic or finding a parking space.”

Among the attractions in the city is the Nottingham Riviera — a man-made beach in Old Market Square.

LINBY’S popular heritage centre will be open on Sunday. The venue off Main Street, which is a former railway building, opens to the public on the first Sunday of each month from April to September (11 am to 4 pm) and is packed with village memorabilia.
