STAFF at the Kennelgate store in Bulwell presented pet-food donations worth £182 to volunteers from the Animal Accident Rescue Unit charity.

The pet food supplies store, of Hucknall Lane, asked customers to buy packets of pet food so they could be donated to the Nottingham-based charity, which provides transport for injured animals and supports them during their recovery.

The store’s assistant manager, Lindsay Trevor, said customers had been very generous.

“The volunteers were delighted with the donation of about 910 pouches of food,” she said
