A COMMUNITY allotment in Hucknall is hosting a series of free workshops designed to promote gardening in limited spaces.
The Tramstop Garden, which is signposted from the Butler’s Hill tram stop, will launch the events on the afternoon of Saturday April 28.
The first, which will offer tips on growing vegetables in containers, is open to all ages, although children must be accompanied by an adult.
Monthly workshops will follow, focusing on growing herbs (Saturday May 26), planting seeds outdoors (Saturday June 23), attracting wildlife (Saturday July 21) and green manures (Saturday September 29).
The project has received funding from the grants organisation, the Tudor Trust.
