A FUNERAL director with a base in Hucknall has invested more than £1.2 million on a new fleet of exclusive vehicles.

CO-OPERATIVE FUNERALCARE has a long-standing business on Portland Road in Hucknall but its headquarters are on Triumph Road in Lenton, Nottingham.

It has spent the money on a range of silver vehicles, including four Mercedes E-Class hearses and seven E-Class Mercedes limousines.

The vehicles offer the latest design in terms of comfort, spaciousness, visibility and technology.

Manager Paul Dixon said: “Families want their loved ones to have the best send-off they possibly can and the vehicles used are an important part of making that happen.

“I am delighted we have been able to upgrade our fleet, which will ensure standards are maintained and we can supply the very best quality of service and care to everyone we serve.”

The new vehicles will be used by all 14 of the Co-operative’s funeral homes across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
