COMPLAINTS about gangs of youths hanging around shops in part of Bulwell have prompted a crackdown by police on anti-social behaviour.
Officers have been alerted to large groups congregating near the businesses on Highbury Road.
Problems including noise nuisance and criminal damage have been reported by residents living nearby.
Now police have stepped up high-visibility patrols in bid to tackle the problems and have urged locals to get in touch and report any crimes that are committed.
The Nottinghamshire police website states: “Anti-social behaviour is still a problem within this area.
“It has changed its location slightly and there are some new suspects causing these problems. They are being identified, and work is ongoing with the anti-social behaviour team.”
To report a problem, call the police on 0300 300999.
