POTENTIALLY lifesaving health-checks will be available during an annual stroke awareness day tomorrow (Saturday) in Hucknall.

Strokes, which are known as the ‘silent killer’, can strike at any time.

That’s why Hucknall Rotary Club will be offering blood-pressure checks at the Central Methodist Church on Baker Street tomorrow morning on a drop-in basis.

Anyone who is found to have abnormal blood-pressure will be referred to their doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Information pamphlets on strokes and how to spot signs of the killer illness will also be available at the awareness day.
