THE National Trust’s Hardwick Estate is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run their visitor attractions.

Already more than 450 volunteers give their spare time to help at the Estate, which is the birthplace and home of one of the sixteenth Century’s most powerful women – Elizabeth, Countess of Shrewsbury, or ‘Bess of Hardwick

Volunteer roles around the property include running events/weddings, digital media production and leading tours.

A Volunteer Open Day will take place on Saturday in the Great Kitchen between 12pm and 4pm.
