Head-on crash on blackspot bypass

A HEAD-on crash caused part of the accident-blackspot Annesley bypass to be closed during the rush hour.

A vehicle is understood to have pulled out of a lay-by and turned into an oncoming car at 4.30 pm on Friday November 4 on the 60mph road, which connects Hucknall and Annesley.

Firefighters and police were called to the scene, and a driver of one of the cars was taken to King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield, for treatment.
