The hunt is on to find the nation’s favourite park and Mansfield District Council wants your vote.

The annual People’s Choice Award, managed by Keep Britain Tidy, is giving the public the power to decide through an online vote which one of the 1,448 Green Flag sites awarded this year should be named park of the year.

Carr Bank and Titchfield Park in Mansfield, as well as Peafield Park and Yeoman Hill Park in Mansfield Woodhouse, have all been awarded with the prestigious Green Flag earlier in the year.

The award recognises the best parks and green spaces in the country.

Members of the public can help put Mansfield on the national map by casting their votes at www.greenflagaward.org.uk.

Voters must then select their region on the interactive map, find the names of the parks they wish to vote for and click ‘vote for this site’. The vote will close at midday on 1st October and the winner of the will be announced on 9th October.
