THE CARTOON character Horrid Henry was brought to life at Hucknall Library to leave happy children with smiles on their faces during the school half-term break.

Fifty youngsters got to meet a life-sized version of Henry, who is famous for causing mayhem.

He chatted with children and posed for photographs at the library on Market Place.

There were also Horrid Henry masks for children to colour, plus word-searches and puzzles.

Sharon Wells, manager of the library, said: “We had a great session, and everyone loved meeting Henry.”
