A primary school in Hucknall that has just become an academy is seeking local business people to be part of its governing body.
Hillside Primary and Nursery, in Roberts Lane, has joined the Flying High Trust, a Nottinghamshire-based group of schools.
As a result of the changes, the school is seeking local business people who have time to give and a keen interest in supporting the local community to fill a small number of vacancies on its governing body.
The school is particularly interested in hearing from people who have legal, business and some management experience.
A knowledge of education is not needed, as a full induction is provided.
Dorothy Stenson, the head teacher at Hillside, said: “We are always focused on improving towards our aim of becoming an Ofsted outstanding school, and provide the very best opportunities for our children.”
Following its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school gained a judgement of good, with outstanding features, and says that it showed excellent results once again last year.
