On Friday 28th November a house on Bestwood Road was entered via the conservatory and an iPad was taken. On the same night in Kenbrook Road, a garden shed was broken into and a bike taken. On Monday 1st December in Wigwam Lane, intruders broke through the perimeter fencing of commercial premises. On the same night a garage on Hawthorne Avenue was broken into and a scooter, clothing and money were stolen.
A dumper truck was taken from a building site on Chatsworth Drive, sometime on Monday 1st December.
Thefts from cars
On Thursday 27th November in Strathmore Close, the back cab door of a Ford transit van was forced and a power saw and sat nav were taken.
On the same night, a hairdressing bag was stolen from the boot of a Mitsubishi 4x4 and a TomTom sat nav was taken from a Peugeot van, both parked on the driveway of a house on Park Drive.
On Thursday 4th December in Beech Avenue, Hucknall, the driver’s side window of a Vauxhall Astra was smashed. A tool bag , batteries and a sat nav were stolen.
A police spokesman said: “From the above reports it is clear thieves are targeting vehicles containing sat nav devices.
“Please remove them from your vehicles when you park and never leave them in the vehicles overnight.”
On Friday 28 November in Belvoir Street, a tyre on a Kia Seed was slashed. On Wednesday 3 December in Padgett Close, the body work on three cars was scratched.
One was parked on a driveway the other two were parked at the roadside.
