Recorded crime in Hucknall East and West is down across the board, say the town’s police community support officers (PCSO).

Anti-social behaviour is down by 18 per cent, burglary by 46 per cent, criminal damage by ten per cent and vehicle crime by ten per cent in Hucknall East; while in Hucknall West the same categories show falls of six per cent, 65 per cent and 64 per cent, while vehicle crime has remained the same.

The figures are for July, August and September and are compared against the same period in 2013.

PCSO Nathan Lawler, who covers Hucknall East, said: “Titchfield Park is still high on our priorities as we continue the fight against anti social behaviour and potential drug use/drug dealings in that area.

“We have had a high number of incidents reported from residents on the Goodall Crescent area and we continue to work with our partner agencies to try and resolve these as quicly and effectively as possible.

“We have increased the amount of patrols in all areas and continue to reassure the public of Hucknall East.”

PCSO Daniel Miller, who covers Hucknall West, said: “We are currently patrolling schools in the Hucknall area at leaving times to reduce anti-social incidents from occurring and protecting our young people from bullying. Nabbs Park has been highlighted as having some criminal damage and anti-social behaviour incidents which we will continue to monitor and patrol.

“Vehicle crime has remained the same over the past three months. Please ensure all valuables are removed from your vehicle, leaving nothing on display and that it is left secure when unattended.”

The next Safer Neighbourhood meeting in Hucknall East is scheduled for the 16th October

PCSO Miller will be conducting a beat surgery on the 24th October at 6pm till 7pm on Ruffs Drive, Hucknall.
