Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was robbed in Hucknall.
The victim, 81, had just returned home to Farleys Lane at around 9pm on Monday 22nd December and as she was about to go inside the house a man pushed her to the floor and took her handbag.
The offender then ran off towards Betts Avenue.
Neighbours and passing residents came to the aid of the victim, who received some facial injuries.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Det Insp Richard Monk, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “We want the offender to think long and hard about his actions and the impact on this woman, and to turn himself in.”
“We also want to hear from anyone else who knows who did this or has any information that could bring the perpetrator to justice.”
Anyone with information can call 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
