A Hucknall woman is campaigning for improved wheelchair access at Kirkby and Ashfield railway station.

Emma Louise Donaldson will be collecting signatures for a petition on Thursday 26th March at Kirkby and Hucknall stations.

She will be in Kirkby with Helen Harrison from 2.30pm and at Hucknall tram stop with Mark Spencer from 5pm.

The 28-year-old, who has suffered with focal cervical spinal atrophy since birth, would like to use the train to visit her friend of over 20 years in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

But the station does not have wheelchair-friendly facilities – meaning Emma has to get the bus instead.
