Incinerator plan: make your voice heard

We urge residents of those villages and other surrounding villages to join in the fight to stop the incinerator at Bilsthorpe being built, as it will impact their lives.

The incinerator will be visible from both the A614 and A617 with 2 huge chimneys’s pumping toxins into the atmosphere which will be dispersed to all the villages surrounding Bilsthorpe.

It will also increase the amount of lorries on those roads as they bring the waste to the plant.

Residents Against Gasification Experiment (RAGE) are also concerned about the smell that will come from the plant due to the storage and processing of the waste.

You can help by submitting an objection to Nottinghamshire County Council as the deadline by which you can submit an objection has been extended to the 7th February. You can object by visiting Bilsthorpe.com where you can click on a link where you can object online or you can write to Nottinghamshire County Council, Development Management, County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7QP, quoting reference ES/2950.

Also MP Mark Spencer has posted questionnaires to local households to gauge public opinion on the planning proposal.

Members of the committee urge everyone who has received a survey to complete it and return in the FREEPOST envelope provided so that the government know that we do not want the monstrosity being built here. The more voices that are heard, the greater impact it will have.

Have your say! Don’t leave it to others. Your Voice counts.
