A TRADITIONAL Nativity play wowed a full house as more than 40 children took to the stage for the Hucknall Pre-school Playgroup production.
Youngsters aged between two and four pulled on their costumes for the pre-Christmas show.
Budding three-year-old actors Ava Morrison and Harry Shaw took on the respective roles of Joseph and Mary at Watnall Road Baptist Church.
As a treat for the audience before the play, members of the playgroup’s dance class put on a performance.
After the curtain came down, children pulled on reindeer antlers and Santa outfits for a Christmas carol singalong.
Krista Hemsley, an administrator at the playgroup, said: “It was lovely. It’s always lovely when they are that age. The atmosphere was fantastic.
“Everyone pitched in to put on the show, and it was a real team effort.”
A fundraising raffle collected £160, which will go towards buying equipment for the group’s newly-refurbished outdoor play area.
