This lovely photograph of two lambs in a field is the latest entry in our Young Photography Competition.
Ben O’Neill sent in a number of pictures in his interpretation of the ‘Spring’ theme for our Dispatch contest.
The 10 year-old youngster is always out and about at the weekend with his new camera he had bought for him at Christmas.
“He is just learning the techniques and recently been on a photography course as he would love a career in photography,” said his proud mum.
Since the weather improved and became more spring-like, we have received more entries from youngsters across the region.
Images have ranged from flowers to landscapes, animals to sunsets.
Billie Jennison of Cedar Avenue, Kirkby, sent us in a wonderful sunset shot which the 14 year-old captured and Sophie Matkin entered her picture of a squirrel in the garden.
There is only one week left to get your entries to us as the closing date is Wednesday 22nd May.
Don’t miss the opportunity to enter your picture and see it printed in the Dispatch.
This gives youngsters the chance to get out from behind their televisions and computer screens, game consoles and tablets and into the fresh air.
It doesn’t matter what the subject is as long as it covers the spring theme.
Judges are eagerly awaiting your entry.
Dispatch editor Tracy Powell and photographer Anne Shelley will be getting together with Ashfield based professional photographer Neil Lancashire to decide on the winner.
There are three age categories for the competition: 7-10, 11-13 and 14-17.
Each category winner will receive a prize of a canvas print of their entry to treasure and display with pride.
Send in your entry to Dispatch Photographic Competition, 121 Newgate Lane, Mansfield Notts.
Alternatively you can send your images via email to email@example.com.
All images should be sent as a jpeg no larger than 1mb.
Don’t miss the chance to share your artistic interpretations with Dispatch readers and our judging panel.
