GLITZY Christmas decorations were created by youngsters when they geared up for the festive fun with a craft session at a Bulwell church.
The event at the town’s United Reformed Church was laid on by the Families Reach Out Group (FROG) organisation, which stages monthly attractions for the community.
Children were invited to make festive baubles to hang on trees at their homes and Christmas cards to send to friends and family.
Cone angels were made, complete with lace wings, and characters, including snowmen, were crafted from icing.
Youngsters also got the chance to put their cookery skills to the test by baking mince pies at the venue on Broomhill Road.
They played pass the parcel and took part in a treasure hunt before sitting down to be told about the real magic of Christmas and the birth of Jesus.
Organiser Christine Cook said: “The children absolutely loved it. They kept saying they wanted to do something similar every week.”
