Further road closures have been announced in Hucknall while a power cable is installed under the streets.

The engineering works are being carried out by Morrisons for Western Power Disribution.

Work on Annesley Road, on either side of the Coronation Road junction, is due to completed by 10th October and in the meantime there will be temporary traffic signals. The diversion runs via Annesley Road, Victoria Street, Queen Street and Bentinck Street.

Baker Street and Annesley Road will be closed from Magdalene Way to South Street from 6th October to 25th October, with limited access to Ogle Street from Baker Street.

A diversion via Spring Street, West Street and South Street, will be set up. Waiting restrictions will be enforced at the junction of West Street and Spring Street to allow larger vehicles and buses to make the turn safely.

Baker Street and High Street will be shut across the South Street junction from 25th October to 28th October. There will be a diversion via Spring Street, West Street, Yorke Street, Derbyshire Lane and Watnall Road. Again, waiting restrictions will be enforced at the junction of West Street and Spring Street.

High Street and Watnall Road will be closed to Station Street (Watnall Rd closed)- from 28th October to 12th November. There will be a diversion via Watnall Road, Beardall Street and Duke Street

All through northbound traffic will be diverted as in Station Road one way via Linby Road. The diverted traffic is being split to reduce congestion and through traffic encouraged to use Hucknall bypass. Station Road from High Street to Ashgate Road roundabout will have one way travel from High Street to Ashgate Road. A diversion has been set up via Linby Road, Church Lane, Waterloo Road, Wighay Road, Annesley Road – Baker Street and High Street.

The A611 Annesley Cutting and Annesley Road southbound dual carriageway will be closed until 25th October, starting north of A608 Derby Rd roundabout to Wighay Road.

Temporary traffic signals will be set up on the A611 Derby Road from south of Derby Road service road to north of the A608/0A611 roundabout.

As works approach and cross Forest Road, temporary signals will be used with a right turn prohibition for southbound traffic on Derby Road and traffic from School Hill will only exit by turning right. The diversion will run to the A608 island and back for one week.
