Letter: Ticket price flexibility

The pricing structure at Mansfield Town is not flexible enough.

No account is taken of the high youth unemployment in the Mansfield area.

Derby County FC are offering early bird season tickets in the following categories, Adult, 65+, 75+, under 22, under 18, under 15, unde 13 with a free under 12 with every adult ticket. their attendances reflect this structure.

I buy three season tickets and a parking spot and this year one grandson is 17 and becomes an adult ticket so the cost will be £270 + £207 + £72 + £95 ( assuming parking is the same) which gives a total of £644. If I change to Derby which is more than half the mileage that I travel to MTFC the cost would be £445. Also, Derby have a twelve instalment payment scheme where the punter chooses the amount of deposit paid.

More flexibility is needed in order to encourage more young supporters and so increase gates.
