Bulwell get fit event to promote healthy living

FAMILIES from Bulwell can use half term to get fit and active with a free health initiative.

The Bulwell Action Group have joined forces with the Henry Mellish Sports Centre to get the community moving in a bid to improve overall health and fitness.

There will be health and fitness advisors on hand to give nutritional advice and ideas to improve fitness levels as well as plenty of activities the whole family can enjoy.

“Youngsters can take part in multi-sports activities and trampolining,” said Bill Blackamore from Bulwell Action Group. “Zumba and street dance opportunities will also be available for both adults and children.”

The event takes place at the Kemmel Road centre on Monday February 18 from 10am-2pm and refreshments will be available on the day.

This will be the third event run by the partnership as part of their Health and Well-Being Campaign.
