Cars still left with valuables on show

A FRESH warning has been issued to drivers in the west of Hucknall not to leave valuables on show in their vehicles.

The Dispatch reported last week on a spate of vehicle break-ins in the town by opportunist thieves.

As part of an operation to combat this, patrols have been stepped up by local police.

But during a special operation, officers noticed that several vehicles, particularly in the Ruffs Estate area, still had items on show.

Now a message has been sent out, via the Dispatch and the Neighbourhood Alert system, asking car-owners to be more vigilant.

Anyone with information on car crime is asked to call the police on 101 or via the free and confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.
