Cutting back on food and heating to pay the mortgage

HOMEOWNERS in the Dispatch district are increasingly cutting back on fuel and food bills to help pay their mortgage or rent as the economic crisis continues.

In a survey by the homelessness charity Shelter, almost a third of those interviewed confirmed that they had cut back on spending on grocery shopping to keep a roof over their heads.
