DANCERS MOVE THEIR BODIES TO THE BEATZ!
YOUNGSTERS from the Body Beatz dance school wowed a crowd of more than 150 with a show at Hucknall's Lovelace Theatre last Sunday.
When Body Beatz was formed in February, by 18-year-old Becca Mayes, some of the children had no experience of dancing at all.
But now they are capable of scintillating routines, as the show at the theatre at the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street proved.
Becca’s mum, Linda (46), said: “It was an amazing achievement considering most of the children had no dance experience when they joined. They really put on a superb show.”
The show, which was performed by youngsters aged between six and 16, consisted of group-dance routines, solo performances and singing.
There are classes, held on Tuesdays, catering for everyone at the school, which is based at the centre, and anyone is welcome to go along.
The classes for six-to-12-year-olds start at 4.30 pm, for 12-to-17-year-olds at 5.30 pm and for adults at 6.30 pm.
Linda said that since the show, they have had some very positive feedback and more new students are joining up.
