Dispatch pulls the strings Down Under
THE DISPATCH has helped to bring a family closer together by bridging the 9,000-plus miles between Hucknall and Perth in Australia.
Recently, we published an appeal from Down Under by Paula Prescott.
She was attempting to get in touch with relatives of her grandfather, Arthur Henry Craven Walters, who was born in 1920 on Allen Street, Hucknall.
Now a delighted Paula has e-mailed the Dispatch to say she has made contact with the Walters line of her family – and says it is all down to the appeal we published.
"Thanks very much for the letter published recently," said Paula.
"I just wanted to follow up and advise the good news that we have now contacted the Walters family. This was due to the publication.
"Much appreciated. This clearly shows the power of the media. Best wishes for continued success with the paper."
