Four arrests over shooting at pub
FOUR arrests have been made in connection with a shooting at a pub on the edge of the Dispatch district.
A 23-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound in the beer garden at the Vernon on Vernon Road, Old Basford at about 9.30 pm on Friday August 17.
Her injuries were not life-threatening and she has been recovering at home after being treated at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 38-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
A 20-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three were questioned by detectives and bailed until December, pending further inquiries.
A man aged 23 was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody for questioning about a separate allegation of being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs.
The pub has since been closed down and its windows are currently covered with metal shutters.
