Home Start looking for new volunteers around Ashfield

PARENTS who want to make a difference to lives of other families around Hucknall and other parts of Ashfield are being urged to volunteer for Home Start.

The charity, which is based at Percival Crescent in Sutton, offers practical help and friendship to people who have children under five-years-old .

Now it is holding a volunteer preparation course for anyone who wants to get involved.

Volunteers support families in a number of ways, including reading and playing with children, helping them to access services, providing a helping hand or just listening. The Home Start training course begins on 28th February and runs until 9th May. It takes place at the Ashwood Centre in Kirkby.

For details on volunteering contact Liz or Colleen at Home Start on 01623 513137 or email admin@homestartashfield.co.uk.
