Kids are mad about science

EXCITED youngsters at a Hucknall school have enjoyed a week of hands-on science activities.

For they were visited by Mad Science, a Canadian company who have been teaching the exciting side of science to children for more than 20 years.

Mad Science were at the National Primary School on Montague Road.

The school's teachers took over the experiments for part of the week, while parents were invited in to assemblies to learn more about what their children were doing.

The school's science co-ordinator, Rebecca Boswell, said: "It was a lot of fun. Every child was involved and Mad Science did a different workshop with each class.

"The children loved it. They really threw themselves into it."

The school also ran a competition to find the most interesting scientific fact. The pick from each year group won an Easter egg.

The event was to mark National Science and Engineering Week.
