Murder victim grew up in Bulwell
A TEENAGER who was stabbed to death after allegedly breaking into a house grew up and went to school in Bulwell.
Tyler Juett (17) was killed at a semi-detached house on the Heathfield Estate in Old Basford, on the outskirts of the Dispatch district.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene on Heathfield Road at 2 pm on Friday March 13 after reports of a "disturbance".
They found Tyler, who was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment but died from his injuries.
It has emerged that he grew up on Crabtree Farm Estate in Bulwell and went to the town's Henry Mellish Comprehensive School.
As news of Tyler's death spread, his friends set up a tribute website entitled 'RIP Tyler – A Bulwell Solja'.
One dedication read: "I just found out! What a silly boy! What goes around comes around! RIP."
It is claimed that Tyler was trying to burgle the house where he was found.
But family members have been quick to plead his innocence.
Leah Juett, Tyler's aunt, said: "We don't want to say too much yet but all we will say for now is that people make things up."
Michelle Juett, Tyler's mother, wrote on Facebook, the social networking site: "Why, why, why, why, why? I want my baby back."
She also thanked people who had contributed to the site. "Thank you to everyone who has posted messages for our beautiful son Tyler," she wrote. "It's nice to know he was loved by all of you."
Officers investigating the death arrested a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, as well as four youths believed to have connections to Tyler.
The 21-year-old has been released without charge and the other five have been released on police bail, pending further inquiries. The 22-year-old is believed to be a close relative of the resident of the house where Tyler was found.
Reports also claim that a 14-year-old was an accomplice of Tyler in the alleged burglary and that he too received stab wounds.
Police say they responded initially to reports of a disturbance at the house but are now treating the case as murder.
Chief Insp Matthew McFarlane said: "We have been doing house-to-house inquiries and have started our forensic analysis of the address.
"We want to get all the information we can – so if anyone has any, they should get in touch with us."
