PLANS for resurfacing work on a Hucknall street later this week have been axed at the 11th hour.

Part of Ruffs Drive in the west of the town was set to be cordoned off from 7 am on Wednesday to 6 pm on Thursday.

The job would also have impacted on the junctions of Shaw Crescent, Laughton Crescent and Godber Road.

But Notts County Council has now confirmed this will not go ahead.

It is understood that the work will be resceduled for a later date.
