Robber caught with knife faces jail

A MAN is facing prison after admitting robberies and possessing a knife in Bulwell.

Eithan Teanby (41) entered guilty pleas to five charges when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court.

Teanby admitted robbing a man of cash and possession of a knife on East Common Lane, Scunthorpe on Monday May 21.

The court heard that he then attempted to rob a woman of cash on Tuesday May 29, another woman on Wednesday May 30, and had a knife with him in Commercial Road, Bulwell on the same date.

Psychiatric and pre-sentence reports are being prepared on Teanby, who is currently in custody.

More details about the offences and Teanby’s previous convictions are due to be given in court when he is sentenced on Thursday December 20.

Judge Michael Stokes said: “Given Teanby’s previous convictions, the question of dangerousness has to be considered.

“It seems to me that the court will have to consider an indeterminate sentence.”
