Still time to have your say on Nottinghamshire County Council budget
THERE are less than two weeks left to make comments on Nottinghamshire County Council’s budget proposals for 2013/14.
More than 1,000 people and organisations have taken part in the Budget Conversation so far, with 927 people filling out comment cards or questionnaires and almost 100 using the budget simulator on the county council’s website.
The key findings from the responses received so far are that most people agree that the county council should freeze Council Tax bills.
The majority of respondents think that the county council is getting it “about right” with the services it provides to support them and their community
Most people would also least like to see savings made in services for older people.
Coun Reg Adair, Chairman of Finance and Property Committee at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “Taking part in the Budget conversation does make a difference and it’s heartening to see so many people letting us have their comments so far.”
“For those that are yet to take part, it’s not too late to have your say.
