Taking the lead for buddy dogs

The Buddy Dogs team is on the lookout for volunteer puppy walkers to offer a nurturing environment to puppies in training. Could you take the lead?

Pups are placed with appointed volunteer puppy walkers at the age of six weeks, and remain in their care throughout their early training at ‘puppy class’ before progressing to advanced training.

As well as being immensely rewarding, puppy walking is a challenging and worth-while pursuit for a very good cause.

Guide Dogs for the Blind is a registered charity which currently receives no lottery funding, so financial help is always welcome.

All money raised by the Annesley unit is put to good use within the area for training and service provision. You can donate directly to the mobility team by calling 0845 372 7424.

Chad’s long-standing Guide Dogs for the Blind Fund has been running for over 40 years, helping visually-impaired people become more independent.

The target for dog 289 is £2,500, with the fund currently standing at £170.42. Donations can be made directly at Chad’s Newgate Lane main reception, or by post, made payable to ‘Chad’s Guide Dogs for the Blind Fund’ and sent to: The Editor, 121 Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Notts NG18 2PA.

For more information, please call the Chad on 01623 456789.
