Tantalise your taste buds at annual Potato Day

If MARIS Piper is the most exciting spud you know, tantalise your taste buds at Hucknall’s second annual Potato Day.

From tomorrow, between 10am-4pm, at the John Godber Community Centre, Ogle Street, Hucknall, more than 40 varieties of exotic seed potatoes will be bursting out of their bags.

There’s also a seed and tool exchange, plus craft tables, tea, coffee and cakes, along with delicious honey for sale from a local bee keeper for the ultimate buzz.

Event organiser Maxine Gaskell, said: “It’s a great way to promote community spirit amongst the gardeners. We’re hoping for a good turnout and a great day.”

All Potato Day profits go to the Hucknall Cottage Garden Holders Association, Wood Lane, Hucknall.
