ALFRETON: Man hit in High Street attack

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Alfreton where a man was hit in the face.

The incident happened at around 11.10am of Friday 27th June in High Street, a Derbyshire Police spokesman said.

The victim was walking near to the Bon Marche clothes shop when he was approached by a man who struck him in the face, resulting in the victim needing hospital treatment to his eye.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Dave Harrison at Ripley police station using the 101 number.
