An event takes place in Bulwell on Friday to help provide a pathway to success for job seekers.

The apprenticeship roadshow takes place at the Red Lion Community Centre on Coventry Road from 1pm to 4pm.

The event is being organised by the FUEL organisation and Nottingham City Council.

A series of such roadshows is taking place throughout March and April to raise awareness of apprenticeships.

The roadshow is mainly, but not exclusively, for young people (over 16s) and it will increase understanding of apprenticeships.

It will provide information about job opportunities in trades which include retail, publishing and healthcare.

Employers and training providers will attend the roadshow and job seekers going to the event are encouraged to bring their CVs.

Free careers advice is on offer and a workshop will enable those present to have a go at work-based skills. Music and food will be provided.
