A Mansfield charity has donated computer equipment and games to a centre which aims to improve the lives of disabled children.

The UHURU Peaceful Trust, in Kestral Road, donated the equipment to the A Place to Call Our Own (APTCOO) centre, in Botany Avenue, after hearing of the work it has done for the children of two volunteers.

UHURU voluntary workers Tom Taylor and his partner Vanessa Sanderson have two sons, Bradley and Jack, who attend the centre.

Elaine Kinsella from UHURU said: “After visiting the centre we were humbled by the good worked that was carried out there.”
