Court for failing to pay £100 fine
A Kirkby man was arrested for non-payment of a £100 court bill.
Aaron Sirell, 26, of Rowan Drive, was found guilty of speeding on January 11 and fined £80 with a £20 victim surcharge, which he was ordered to pay by February 8.
The court sent a notice to his home but there was no response. A warrant was issued on April 4 and he was brought before Mansfield Magistrates on May 31.
Sirell told the court he had been out of work and was self-employed.
He was warned he could be sent to prison if he didn’t pay up. He agreed to pay off the bill at £25 a month.
