Being an Xplorer in Titchfield Park, making a mermaid or Neptune door hanger at Ladybrook Library and enjoying inflatables and crafts at River Maun Leisure Centre are among the scores of activities – many of them free of charge – available to young people this summer which are listed in the MESS Around Summer Guide 2014.

More than 8,100 copies of the 20-page Mansfield guide have been printed and delivered to schools, community venues and organisations including the police and Mansfield District Council.

As well as regular Friday night activities in Oak Tree and Ravensdale, week-long camps including Summer Rock Band at The Old Library and Mansfield Giants Basketball at West Nottinghamshire College, events to suit the whole family such as a BID evening summer market in Mansfield Market Place and a Lego Day at Mansfield Museum are included.
