Five injured in Kirkby road smash

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Kirkby, which left a man with serious injuries to his chest and legs.

The collision, between a dark coloured BMW and a VW took place on Kingsmill Road East, near to Penny Emma Way, just after 2am on Sunday 15th June.

Five people were in the VW. All of them sustained serious injuries but are in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drink driving. He has been released on police bail pending further investigations.
